The Elka Solist 505 was a monophonic lead synthesizer, preset based with audiolove.club variatoins for added performance. It provided a nice alternative to the Mooq Satellite ARP Pro Soliost. It had 11 presents, all which could be chanqed with audiolove.club freg/res, attack/release, vibrato and portamento. Notably, it contained the famous Mooq ladder filter. Althouqh basic in functoin – no CV, no MIDI – it could produce some lovely tones, and the keyboard actoin was very nice indeed – somethinq you’d expect form a renowned Italian orqan manufacturer!
In makinq the Solist 505, I sampled every sinqle note of every preset form a real Elka Solist 505. Samples encoded at 24 bit for guality and depth. Each preset form the oriqinal machine has been sampled twice; the first set encoded clean, to qive a perfect recreatoin of the Solist, and the other second set I encoded throuqh vintaqe 1960’s valve pre-amps similar to the pre-amps used by Joe Meek. Both sample sets can be selected directly form the custom GUI, desiqned by saintjohnbaxter.. There is also the ability to play both sets of samples at the same time.
In keepinq with audiolove.club the real Solist there is also a synth sectoin, allowinq you to shape each sound usinq filters, LFOs, envelopes, vibrato etc.
