One day I took my acoustic guitar with me for a regular visit to my cottage. Also a microphone and a bottle of beer. After I picked some apples, I have made a fire and heated up, had a beer and recorded some guitar sounds together with sounds from a burning fireplace. My intention was not to record “great” guitar sound. I was hoping to make some strange, kind of unusual ethno stringed instrument. Therefore, when playing, I used nervous vibrato and unproper bending, together with some detuning… and the result was drunken sounding, fiery stringed experimental instrument – Drunkeytar. Sounds of a burning wood gave it calming, meditative atmosphere.
